  • Feb 3 Thursday Solace is unwell – heat and constipation & worms. (Principal cloud over house.) Belisarius all day. At 5 L & I went to Baker St. & saw Mr.Mills. The Cribb doing maps & ringing up about obscure places. Ward & Dorothy to dinner. Ward going over poems with Laura & very historical about his bells story. Also Alan & Beryl. At 11.30 L & I worked till 3 on Belisarius . ten pages of Chapter XIX had to be wholly rewritten.
