be this. Area of Sweden about 400 [number crossed out] 173 000 sq [square] miles
In the southern 2/3 of Sweden almost all
the land is privately owned either for
forestry purposes or for Agriculture. In the
northern part there are some National
Forests. There are 25 provinces in
Sweden + in each of these there is a sportsman's
organization that includes the forestry +
farming interests also. Each of these
organizations nominates 2 members +/- to a
central council + about 30 members represent
these groups. Another 4 are appointed 3 from
members of parliament upon recommendation of
the Jagarforbundet; 1 from the Nature Conservation
Organization.
The Director of the entire organization is
a senior Civil Servant. + he appoints his
staff, the members of which are not civil
servants.
There are some 200,000 licensed hunters
in Sweden that pay a license of 8 Kr [Krone] per
head. About 80% of this is given over by
the govt [government], to running the Game organization.
