In this park the lion are preying largely upon buffalo.
[Ian] Hamilton + several of his helpers have had very bad
attacks of Bilharzia that they contracted swimming + washing
in water from a fine looking pond at the base of a
cascade coming down the escarpment. The baboons had
the parasite + were infecting the stream - the snails were
loaded. [Ian] Hamilton is just finishing his second
round of treatment + was feeling wretched. This was
supplemented by a broken back 3 months ago when he
was stepped on by a charging rhino [rhinoceros].
