Food:- A flock of 60 ewes + young
examined this morning was feeding
for 15 minutes almost equally
upon Dasiphora + grass.
About 450 animal minutes on
each.
Movement:- A flock seen yesterday
had moved just some 500
yards during 24 hours
Kills:- Found a dead ram - winter
kill. No bones broken except
the ends of some ribs chewed.
left mandible swollen with
actinomycosis Age 11 years
Enemies:- Mt [Mountain] Lion shot had stomach
full of sheep stomach + hair.

Census of Sunwapta Pass flock.
19 rams, 12 ewes 2 lambs
Food: Along the high ridge east of the
pass the grass clumps were all
heavily eaten. This grass was
mostly sheep fescue + alpine fescue.
At present the sheep were still
feeding primarily upon grass,
merely moving down hill to the
more recently exposed slopes.
