Molt + Pelage. All sheep seen were in fresh
pelage. the rams seemed to average
darker than the ewes. In
several [word crossed out] 2 instances rams had the
faces very white. In most however
the heads + faces were dark with
a gleaming white muzzle.
Breeding behavior + social behaviour
Above census breakdown will
show that in summer mature rams
are alone or in small groups +
favour the more wooded parts of
the range. Ewes, lambs + rams
even up to 2 years old are in
large or small groups are even
alone on the more open parts
of the range.
One lamb was seen to nurse
briefly.
