Miette Twin fawns of last year are not
at all uncommon.
Condition: Not more than two or three were
in poor shape.
Kills:- Found remains of one buck with
antlers on. No evidence of cause of
death.

In evening I counted deer on the
Maligne Canyon road + from Jasper
7 miles north. On latter route
saw 27 deer on former 18
Included were
7 [female symbol], 4 [male symbol] 7 fawns
Jasper, Alta. [Alberta] May 11/45. [1945]
At upper end of Medicine Lake 1 buck
seen. A doe was killed right behind
the cabin on May 7. A mountain
lion did the job.
Mr Tom Hughes of Jasper the
Express agent has a magnificent mule
deer head with a 42 inch spread
+ about 18 points on each side.
It was mounted from shed antlers
picked up on Henry House flats.
