Worked around town all day, except for
one trip out to Bradshaws.
" July 21/45 [1945].
Rode from Headquarters over the rolling
benchland to Lakeview ridge, up stream
+ to the right, along the crest of the
ridge overlooking the head of cottonwood
creek, down to the phone line + back
out. Excellent elk range with
some signs of capacity grazing high
on the S. [South] + W. [West] slopes. No appreciable
damage to the shrubs + no barking.

Finally made connections with Bradshaw
+ spent the best part of the day riding
his ranch. Remarks are in the elk
section.
Banff. July 23/45 [1945].
Drove from Waterton. Left there at
7 AM reached Calgary at noon and
Banff at 3:30.
Graveyards Cabin. July 24/45 [1945]
Left Banff at 2:30 arrived here about
8 o'clock. En route saw 3 [male symbol] + 2 [female symbol]
moose.
Watchman Lake. July 26/45 [1945]
Yesterday we left Graveyards at
8:50 + rode up Alexandra River, fording
4 times - deep + wet, then up Castleguard
Creek fording once + so to here
