Jasper May 7/44 [1944]
Saw 25 deer of which 5 may have been
tallied before. They were
ad [adult [male symbol] 3, [female symbol] 14, 4 fawns, yearling 2
+ 2 not determined.
Health:- One fawn was very poor, large
areas along its back were hairless
+ showed a scaly, wrinkled appearance
The animal was very thin + quite
weak. Scars on the inside of one
foreleg lead me to think that it
may have been in an accident.
Devona May 8, 1944
Today saw 8 bucks 2 does + 1 fawn
on areas where such animals had not
previously been seen.

31 does + 2 fawns. All of them were
in groups, the largest group 12, the
smallest 3.
Kills:- Found 2 kills [male symbol] [female symbol] dead a year: cause ?
