On way up from Banff today we
saw 1 bull + 2 ad [adult] cow moose.
One of 2 cows at upper Waterton Lake
was feeding in water of a depth
over her shoulders. When actually
feeding she was virtually submerged
Tonquin Valley. Sept [September] 5/45. [1945]
Fresh tracks on the trail up Astoria
Creek, + summer sign near Amethyst
Lake. Quite a bit of winter sign
on Maccarib Cr. [creek] above the warden cabin.
No moose seen to date.
