[1944] Saw 1 bull + 1 cow lower down the river. Cow looked poor + had not yet completed molt. Cairn Cabin. July 14/44. [1944] Saw 1 bull + 1 cow lower down the river. Here the moose had sheltered winter beds in the lee of the scrub thickets + had eaten every branch of sometimes an entire thicket - Photographed one such. Southesk Lake. July 17/44.
