Drove west to Yellowhead. Showers +
bright sun. Very little sing of
game activity along the valley floor.
At Decoigne warden station though
the aspens are barked + willow largely
killed (see photo) the grass growth
is outstanding. There is a really good
sod. Grass is downy wild rye, tufted
wheat grass, Deschampsia, a Poa +
a Bromus. Carryover is in general
good, probably because of snow cover

+ red-wing blackbird abundant.
