Parasites:-
Dermacentor albipictus [underlined] about 7200 ticks
+ many scars where others had dropped off.
300 on each ear. 24 per sq [square] inch on brisket
4" [inches] x 5 " [inches] same beneath tail + around anal
opening.
Lung worm [underlined]:- apparently 2 species -
light infestation but some tubercles in
lung
Cysticercus tenuicollis [underlined] 1 on omentum
+ deep in the lung tissue.
Cephenemyia [underlined]:- 30 2nd + 3rd instar
larvae in left pouch - none in
right. Several 1 at instar in nasal
passages. No inflammation of
throat accompanied this infestation
Teeth in very poor shape - skull kept.
Census:- At 5:30 P.M. on the flat in front of
the cabin - about 320 acres deer came
out of the woods to feed. I counted
30 of them - 3 of these were fawns.
I don't think these have been counted before.
Pregnancy:- The old doe killed was pregnant.
Two [female symbol] fawns 390 + 393 mm [millimeters] in length.
Kills:- Found one fawn kill.
