Saw one adult in very white pelage
at mile 25 - took alarm more readily
than the sheep.
Predators:- [Warden Frank] Wells reports a black bear
killing goats at the lick near
Athabasca falls. It killed several
before he shot the beast - an old male
1935.

Saw a beautifully furred nanny
on the Athabasca falls lick (mile 24)
It was actively eating the soil at about
11:30 AM.
Banff, Alta. [Alberta] April 24/43 [1943]
Saw 4 goats on the point 4-5 miles
west of town. One of these was a kid.
Watched one adult browse bearberry 30 sec. [seconds]

Found remains of a goat dead a year along
