& [and] Freeland CHarged with unlawful
possession of 2 Bicycles Value $100
The property of Thomas Bamford and
John Kenneth Macrae Sentenced
to 6 Months H.L. [hard labour]. This man was a
passenger on the bark "Japan."

Freeland, same charge as above.
This man was mate of the "Japan"
and together with the above
passenger stole & [and] concealed the
bicycles on the vessel, where
they were found by the Police.
