Left Vancouver at 9:50 AM. on
the tenth. Arrived London 6:30 AM today.
Caught BEA plane out of London at
10:20 + landed in Geneva at 11:50.
Came down here by train - about
30 minutes + 10 Franc 1st class.
Checked in at Hotel du Mt [Mont] Blanc +
walked up to the I.U.C.N. [International Union for Conservation of Nature] headquarters.
May 12 Meetings started at 9AM.

Met at the home of E. Nicola
on the lake shore some 8 miles
W [west] of Morges. A beautiful spot
surrounded by Oak + lush
woodlands. Saw a roe, kestrel
black kite, + many smaller
birds. Among the common
plants was Cyclamen europaeum
with its beautifully wattled leaves
