Young owls snap their beaks vigorously and give a little whining chuckle when hungry. Sleep in many altitudes, often lying down on their sides or, horizontal with the head hanging down. Already have the peculiar weaving motion of owls. [female symbol]'s stomach- 1 caterpillar and 2 crickets. No food remains near nest. In the nest cavity were feathers of Lewis woodpecker and sparrowhawk but these most probably were former inhabitants.
