Wind developed to almost a gale
in the night; some gusts almost uprooting
the tent. Picked up traps - 1 pocket mouse
in mine; 5 + 1 Peromyscus in Ians [McTaggart Cowan].
Packed all our stuff in the truck and
drove to town to buy supplies. Then drove
up Anarchist Mountain Rd [road] toward Bridesville
+ set up camp at stream at Mile 14. by
11 A.M. - Shortly after a sprinkle of rain
started which fell off + on for most of
afternoon.
Finished skinning catch of yesterday and put
up fly + stove.
Made tour before supper collecting two squirrels,
1 female Williamson's sapsucker, 1 female grouse
between us.
Many old badger holes, none apparently
occupied.
Rain stopped about 6 P.M. - Set out 10
traps for Peromyscus.
Saw 2 small bats only; apparently
large brown bat not yet here or not
flying in cool weather.
