  • Rubber boa June 15/43 [1943] Large specimen received from T.L. Thacker of Hope. Taken on June 13th at Kawkawa Lake near Hope. Black bear Oct [October] 31 [1943] A bear with large amount of grizzled hairs on back, sides + flanks, taken at Leechtown, Sooke Lake, by Percy Brown 1137 Mason. Hunter proposed to have skin made up, saving skull for us or selling whole thing to Chinese. Cougar also taken at same place + time.
