  • Bufo boreas [underlined] Toad Osoyoos BC. May 22/41 [1941] One Bufo [underlined] was collected in pond behind dairy farm on western shore of lake but the toad later escaped. May 23/41 [1941] - One small toad was caught in a mouse trap along road following eastern shore of lake to Indian reserve. May 27th [1941] - Mile 14 - Anarchist Mt [mountain] Rd. [road] Found a toad squashed on scott road. later, [Ian McTaggart] Cowan collected two small specimens along stream by camp; and after dark on the same night we caught a large female in the same place. Colours very bright. Small tadpoles in backwaters of this stream seem to be those of toad. June 5 [1941] One toad collected at Dom. Ent. Lab.[Dominion Entomologial Laboratory], Mission flats, Kamloops B.C. in basement. June 6 - Ian [McTaggart Cowan] collected one or two toads along river bank at night + found several in small muddly pond in pig pen in farm east of Ent. [Entomologial] Lab, at Mission flats, Kamloops. Hyla [underlined] + Scaphiopus [underlined] were in same pond.
