  • April 22 [1941] Visited Glen Lake [underlined] in late P.M. [evening] to set seine. Took two hauls at Wellwoods float, netting one Bass, 2 sunfish and 5 fry (Bass?) Put net in position and baited with loaf of bread, broken + scattered. Water Temp [underlined] - Surface 64 [degree symbol] F. [April] 23 [1941] Hauled net at 8:30 A.M. but caught on snags. Yield one sun- fish + 1 fry. Most of bait seemed to have disappeared but no sign of carp. On way home called at Millstream Rd. Pond [underlined] - A few Phyllo- pods still present but only in certain spots. Large larvae of diving beetles present.
