- in his prints are often found perched on branches. Other bird-and-flower printmakers include Gessho (active early 20th century), Soseki (active early 20th century) and Fuyo (1864-1936). Fuyo, also known as Eisho Narazaki, had been a professional copper-plate printer working for the government, but would later design prints for Watanabe of birds-and-flowers as well as city genre scenes.
