such were seen all day.
Along the beach 6 or 8
Savannah sparrows were feeding
on the myriads of kelp flies
+ other insects. Song sparrows
+ winter wrens were common
in the thick deciduous growth
along the shore at the foot
of the steep banks.
In a small abandoned
clearing on the E. [East] side of Albert
Head, some brush - snowberry +
briar, some small firs,
surrounding country fir-arbutus.
