The interior central medallion of this blue and white bowl, a stylized flower in a double circle, is surrounded by five lotus medallions. The exterior is decorated with a continuous lotus scroll and the base has a six-character mark of Yongzheng in a double circle.
21 Bowl d: 20 cm, Yongzheng (1723-1735)
This fine imperial blue and white flared bowl, with small footrim, is decorated on the inside with a central medallion of two archaistic dragons surrounding the character shou (longevity). The exterior has six archaistic dragon medallions separated by double phoenixes above waves. There is a six-character mark of Yongzheng in a double circle on the base.
