53 Brushwasher d: 16.7 cm, Yongzheng (1723-1735)
This three-legged circular brushwasher has fourteen round nipples, both on the shoulder and the underside. This Robins Egg glaze, mostly in circular globules, is of turquoise and reddish brown colour on the exterior. There is a turquoise blue glaze on the interior and an incised four-character seal script mark of Yongzheng on the base. This is a typical Yongzheng example where the different colours havent quite jelled. The Robins Egg technique was not perfected until the Qianlong period.
