- Larger buck had the liver cylindrical
+ covered with a tough whitish.
membrane. The liver itself showed
no lesions but the entire
substance was mottled in appearance,
abnormally soft + upon examination
bore the same characteristics as
regenerated liver tissue.
Apparently this deer had suffered
from hepatitis at some not very
distant date. Perhaps this accounts
for the abundance of external parasites
+ failure to molt on time + small
