- Passing on up the staircase we found our seats, paid for "service", bought a program - a tip there too «, and sat down to watch the show. As was the case in the- afternoon the .Trench dialogue was tiresome, but the singing and dancing was fine, And the costumes were the best I’ve, ever seen, and I’ve eeen one or two shows in my short life. At half time everybody left their seats and flocked to the fount of Bacchus, not to be outdone we followed suit. The kid and I indulged in a citronede, end the rest had beer.
It was certainly a gey scene - everybody talking at once - the welters flying around with their treys of drinks - a great contrast to the man’s world we had been living in. Under separate oover, or rather covers, we are sending along four registered parcels, the? majority of the contents being Parisian souvenirs. Here’s hoping they allreach you safely, for I spent quite a time in fixing them up,
Y/hen we left for Paris we instructed the P.O, corporal to turn over any parcels that may come for ue to any of our gang. Arrived back just in time to be handed your two parcels. They came in mighty handy too, for it would have been an awful jump from our high living to the army grub. Just cleaned up on the last of the cookies yesterday, They were certainlyfine.
Also found two of your letters awaiting us. Will read them over again, and reply in my next.
Am enclosing a photo we had taken in Paris. As per usual I spoil the picture, Must have moved just as the photo was taken. They are very poorly finished but I think with a little retouching of my
