Dear Mother and Dad,-
Have the dugout all to myself thisevening, so am going to take advantage of it end get this letter off my chest.
It has been simply glorious today- almost like midsummer. This is the fifth successive day of such weather, and I'm hoping that it will last for a while yet. Summer time came in yesterday, so now we are enjoying an extra frour of sunshine in the afternoon. This putting the clock an hour ahead in summer is a fine thing, and ought to he a fixture even aftfcr the war..
The first Canadian letter mail for 15 days came along this morning and I euppose it is needless for me to remark that it was welcomed with open arms. I didn't do too beyST"- eight letters- among them yours of Jan 29th and Feb 5th,. The parcel you mentioned will probably he along in a few days. Hope so, for it is nearly a month since I had one. As far as that goes, none of the fellows in this dugout have received any parcels in the past two or three weeks.
