  • Cedar Waxwing. Jan 5, 1939. A flock of 10+/- of these birds was seen twice today. in the hawthorn trees outside the museum Workshop. Mar. [March] 8, 1939. Victoria A flock of seven of these birds with several robins were eating berries in the same hawthorn tree as above. They were very tame. Apr. [April] 11, 1939. Victoria Flock of waxwings today. June 6, 1939. Victoria Several flocks present today. Feb. [February] 9, 1940 Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] Six or more Cedar waxwings in trees just outside museum Feb. [February] 26, 1940. Victoria A flock of 16 today. Saw them daily until Feb [February] 30. April 18/40 [1940] Victoria A flock today in the boulevard trees on Superior Street. Sept [September] 22/40 [1940].
