Anarchist Mt. [Mountain] June 20/36 [1936].
These birds very abundant +
feeding young. Four nests found
were all in live yellow pine, 10
to 20 ft [feet] up. In one case a chickadee
had a nest full of young just 2 1/2
ft [feet] above the sapsucker nest.
So far I have not seen this
species working in anything but
douglas fir, pine + larch, not
at all in aspen which is
abundant.
Two weeks later than this in
1931 all the young were out of the
nest
