- Screech Owl.
Nov. 1, 1935. On Oct [October] 20, 1935 an ad [adult] [female symbol]
screech owl was taken in a small
grove of hemlocks at the edge
of an extensive trail of dense
climax forest on Finlayson
Arm at Mile 17. Kinglets,
Chickadees + wrens, among the
smaller birds, were abundant
When disturbed, this bird flew
20 feet or so + realighted, keeping
its eye on me all the time.
