Sandspit. Aug. [August] 28/46 [1946].
During the month the crows have been
travelling in large flocks, up to 200 or
so. They have been seen at all stations
visited, often on the beach at low
tide but more often just now
feeding on the red elders that grow
in such profusion. Shot 3 today
all feeding on elders. Young
molting into winter plumage.
