Jasper, Alta. [Alberta] May 9, 1946.
Today examined two nests one at
Decoigne station + one a mile east
of there. The first was built
2 years ago but not used last
year + not inhabited this year
either. The second one, 40 ft [feet]
up on a dry dead spruce stub
had 2 birds on it but there
were no eggs.
Talbot Lake. May 23, 1946.
Found an ospreys nest on a tall
spruce immediately across the lake
from mile 19. One bird is
incubating + the other one in close
attendance.
Jasper. May 31, 1946
The nest at Decoigne is occupied by
a goose. The other one contained
3 eggs - incubation just started.
