Today arrived at this place after
calling at Morgans, Aero + Kellys on
Cumshewa, Sandspit + Skidegate.
Found Dean Fisher, Ed Barreclough,
as well as Charlie [Charles J. Guiguet], Muriel [Guiget] + Joann Guiget
here. Dean tells me 2 Haida hunters
in last 10 days shot 81 seals.
Birds:- at Kelly's 70 +/- crows
1 sharp shin
2 barn swallows.
Reported at Huxley Camp on Lyell Isl. [Island]
during last 10 days winter wrens
Q.C. [Queen Charlotte] woodpecker, 2 grouse + large flocks
of tree swallows.
Between Entrance of Cumshewa +
Skidegate saw several hundred
Rhinoceros auklets, 100 +/- sooty shearwaters
many Guillemots, 1 large pale gray
shearwater, off end of Sandspit 75 +/-
kittiwake
2 Brandt's cormorant
6 or 8 Calif. [California] [Common] Murre.
In evening shot a small brown bat.
