From Got under weigh at 6 A.M.
Safety and towed out of Safety Cove"
Cove light N.E. Breeze. Got well
to away at 8:30. Light S.E.
Anchor breeze & [and] calm at 11. When off
in Goldstream Harbour", got a S.E.
Lagoon squall, and reached Fog Rocks
Bay where we anchored til 9 P.M.
Rough when it came up a heavy S.E.
gales squall, with dense darkness
and rain, and took in Mainsail
& [and] F. Jib and got into "Lagoon
Bay" at 11. Anchored, a very
rough night. Bad holding
ground. Also Rocks. We dragged
about 25 fathoms.

Wednesday March 26
From Came in with strong S.E. gale
Lagoon Snow squalls. Got under weigh
Bay at 9:30. Passed "Bella Bella"
to at 12 and came to anchor at
Main 1/2 past 3 in Main Pass" off
Pass Campbell Island in 12 Fathoms
Campbell close in shore. During night,
Island dragged across Channel
Traded with Indians for deer
and went ashore for clams.

Thursday March 27
Came in with a strong N.E. Breeze
Rough & [and] Rain. Very cold, at 8 Got
weather under weigh at 10 came to
anchor in a small bay off
off Dennison Point in 12 Fathoms
Dennison Will stay here till we get better
Point weather. Had to weigh at
1:30, as there was no holding
Anchored ground. Got to anchor at 5.
in another Cove in 20 fathoms

Exceedingly rough day. N.E. squalls
Rain. Hail. Snow. Winter. Thick
At Had to remain at anchor all day,
anchor Moon changed today. Have
Still had to keep Anchor. Watch 2 nights.

Ran Weather like yesterday at 8 a.m.
to got under weigh. Found too
Kynumft much sea and thick, so put
Harbor about and got to anchor in
Kynumft Harbor, opposite an
old Ranch at 12:30

Anchored Wet day but calm.

Monday March 31
Ran At 1/2 past 7 got under weigh
over and ran out as far as Cape
to Day" Sea very rough and heavy
Mary squalls. At 11, put about
Cove ran up Finlayson Channel
and at 5 P.M. came to anchor
in "Mary Cove" Night bery
dark with hail & [and] rain squalls.

Tuesday April 1
Got to Under Weigh. Towed out Variable
Anchor wind with rain at 11 Wind died away
in Drifted about in "Finlayson Channel"
Tolmie opposite "Watson Bay" but could
Channel not get into it. At 4, put about
and at 6:30 got to Anchor in
Tolmie Channel in 14 Fathoms.
Rain. Hail & [and] Snow all day and
all night.

Laid Morning came in with heavy snow
at 3 inch on Deck, cleared up at 11
Anchor Came on fine & [and] calm. Got
good supply of Wood on Board
and Shot some Grouse.
