Cure 1/2 gallon Rain Water. Put it into

Colds it simmer slowly for 1/2 an hour. Skim
off the Tar. Put in 4 #b [pounds] White Sugar
Let it simmer again until reduced to
1/2 (half) Use the Syrup.
