F.T. Prince Collection

Frank Templeton Prince (1912-2003) was an English poet and academic.

The collection consists of a handwritten letter to John Lehmann (dated 1940), together with a handwritten, signed poem "The Hanging Church". Lehmann has written a note on the top of the letter "Yes, I like this", together with his initials. Lehmann published the poem in “Poems from New Writing: 1936-1946” (London, 1946). The letter and poem were donated to Special Collections and University Archives, UVic Libraries, in 1974. More about the F.T.
