Westwick Lake Saturday, July 23, 1955
Weather: fine
I watched grebes for half an hour in
the morning and 2 hours in the
afternoon. Most of the eggs have
hatched. We started for the
Fraser, and will get there to-morrow
In the morning Nancy [Mahoney] and I
rode to Frost Creek with Ronnie.
The wooded areas seem almost lifeless
The young grebes died.
Peavine Sunday, July 24, 1955
Weather: fine A.M. [morning] thunder storm
in the evening.
Teddy, Nancy [Mahoney], Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] and I spent
the day at a ranch on the
Fraser. Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] saw a bear. He
also took pictures of some
Indian caves. We heard a
hermit thrush and a rail on the
trail down to the river.
