Steamer "San Pedro" Iron Vessel.
Ran on "Brotchies Ledge" near Victoria
on a fine Sunday Evening while on her
way to Frisco [San Francisco] with 4000 tons Coal
from Nanaimo. Pilot Christenson is
charge. Laid on Ledge for 5 years and
was finally broken to pieces and
salved by the owners. Total Loss
Late in the fall of 1891
Australian Steamer "Warimoo"
ran on the rocks near to Carmenah
Point in a thick fog August 16
1896, while coming in. Was floated
and repaired.
Steamer "Wolcott" formerly a
U.S. Revenue Cutter, was driven
on the rocks in a heavy gale in
Shelikoff Straits and became a
total loss. January 1900
The Old Tug "Cyrus Walker" was
broken up on the Sound in May 1901
Steamer "Remus March 1900 Ran
on the Rocks on the Coast of
Denmark, wheat laden from
Philadelphia, and became a
total loss. 13 Lives Lost.
