Pellet in Kootenay 100% moose -
Very little coyote sign in Kootenay. Had
cleaned up remains of lion killed elk
but last winter touched only a few of
the dead sheep.

50% deer hair.

Mange reported to be abundant in
the park - see excerpt from warden

90% artostaphylos [Arctostaphylos]
10% coyote hair

100% moose bone + hair.
seemed to be foot + tail tip.
No sign of coyote other than these two
pellets close down by the road.

Saw fresh tracks on the trail 6 miles
up the creek + near our camp found
several fecal pellets as follows:
1 100% rabbit
1 95% sheep 5% microtine
