The Grand Herald having received
the candidates in the ante room,
will administer the following O.B.N.

my word of honor that I will never
make known to any person or persons
anything which may transpire during
my initiation in the Ancient
Order of Oriental Humility.
After administering the O.B.N.
the Grand Herald will advance
with the candidates to the door;
and give the usual alarm (5)
Grand Inside Guardian!
Who gives
the alarm at the door of our retreat?

Your Brother;
with several candidates (strangers)
who wish to obtain the Degree
of the A.O of O.H.

Then Come! and
be attentive to our mandates
--Opens the doors--
The Candidates will be received
by the guides and introduced
to the Grand Vizier by the Grand Herald.
Grand Vizier's Charge
You are about
to be initiated into the mysteries
of Ancient Order of Oriental
Humility, in which you will

receive the Sigh, Passwords and
Grand Secret.
But you must first
take certain obligations to which we
have all been subjected, and which
we assure you, will in no wise
interfere with your personal liberty
or self respect. Being thus assured
are you willing to proceed?
--Answer--
Then you will solemnly promise never
to disclose the Grand Secret of this
Order, nor the solemn ceremonies
connected with it, and that you
will consider this promise as binding
out of this order as in it?
--Answer--
We are assured, but if you
Entertain any lingering scruples or
doubts you are not at liberty now
to retire. We are again assured
of your sincerity and faith, and
will advance you in our cheriched
Order, after administering to you
our usual obligation.
You will place
your right hand on the floor,
(imitating our guides) and your
left hand on your heads, as an
ancient token of humility, homage
and respect, and repeat after me;

solemnly promise a cheerful
obediance to the requirements of the
Ancient institution of the A.O.O.H.
and that I will readily obey all
mandates during my initiation or
while connected with the Order
