The personal accounts of Smyth's experiences at the end of World War One. Smyth begins the account with: "The following is a general account of my doings from the time of my return to France in September up to our triumphant entry into Mons [Belgium] yesterday morning November 11th '18 [1918] - le jour de l'Armistice." Includes a list explaining the abbreviations used, list of named people and places, and a list of Smyth's honours and medals.
