War diaries are official records kept by the Battalions during a one month period. The diary provides a daily summary of events, actions, activities, etc. This diary discusses heavy shelling by the enemy, traveling by train to Poperinge, the pipes and drummers played "Retreat" in the square, the first anniversary of the Second Battle of Ypres, and various attacks by the enemy.
