Canadian Scottish Regiment: At Otter Point; Departure to Debert [Film]
Film begins at the military camp at Otter Point on Vancouver Island and shows soldiers engaging in training exercises with weapons, a game of rugby, marching, athletics and exercising. A scene of a map of and a pen showing the route across Canada the Battalion will take to get to Derbert. Soldiers on a crowded ship leaving port in October 1940 and then traveling by train across the country arriving in at the still-under construction Canadian Forces station camp at Derbert, Nova Scotia.
