"Rightist wind"; "capitalist-roaders" campaign against Deng Xiaoping. Xiaojinzhuang, a village in Tianjin municipality, enjoyed celebrity in the early 1970s as a model chosen by Mao’s wife Jiang Qing for promotion of the policies and arts (notably the revolutionary operas) of the day. This poster features criticism of Deng Xiaoping (as yet unnamed) for his opposition to those policies and operas, using much of the language of the earlier campaign to criticize Lin Biao and Confucius. The major slogans of the period are represented and repeated. No artist information. Price: 0.10 yuan
