German "Whizz Bang" battery [Wills Photograph Album Page 51]
PublicA German "Whizz Bang" (aka German 77mm gun) was so named by the allies because of the sound a round made going through the air. A Whizz Bang is pictured here in a battlefield surrounded by destruction and the bodies of several dead soldiers.
