  • ii Dish d: 10.5 cm, early Kangxi (1671) This small dish, painted in underglaze blue and red, is decorated with a landscape in imitation of a Chinese scroll painting. To the left is a ten-character couplet describing the scenery and a seal mark. The scene depicts a scholar crossing a bridge with trees in the foreground and a lake and mountains in the background. The base, with double footrim, has the eight-character mark Kangxi xinhai zhongjie tang zhi, dating it to 1671. The pencil drawn landscape on this dish is the earliest dated example of the Master of the Rocks style. hi Stemcup h: 11.8 and d: 16.5 cm, Yongzheng (1723-1735) The exterior of this stemcup is decorated with three designs: two of peaches and one of pomegranate, in underglaze blue and red on a bluish white ground. There is a horizontal six-character mark of Yongzheng in underglaze blue on the interior of the hollow stem.
