Arrived at Nanaimo at 6 oclock Left Victoria at 10, Staid 1/2 an hour at Nanaimo. Went to Departure Bay, Left at 8 oclock for Baynes Sound. Ran all night. Weather dark, with wind and Rain. Arrived at Baynes Sound at 6 oclock next morning. Distance about 50 miles. Went on to Comox, Distance 12 miles. Staid only a few minutes. Went back to Baynes Sound. Took Bark Malay in tow. Towed her all day. Heavy Sea and strong Southeast gale. I got good seasick. Got to Depargure Bay at 6 oclock .M. Left at 8 with Bark Germania in tow for Cape Flattery. Went up through Active Pass at 6 oclock next morning. Passed Race Rocks about noon. Got to the Cape outside. Cast of the ship and headed back for Victoria and arrived there at 7 next morning A fine Boat and fine crew. ---
