  • LEFT PAGE 244 Cleaning the hands Use a little ammonia or Borax in lukewarm water. A little oatmeal mixed will whiten them. Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline will all dirt, after shop work. Wash after with Castile Soap & [and] warm water May 22 1886 --- "Drilling Glass" A hard drill or a file with the End broken off, may be used in a brace. 2 pints Turpentine with Camphor in solution to the glass, and Keep the cavity supplied A copper tube in a lathe chuck and Emery and oil makes a round hole. Cement on a core to fit inside the tube. He stood 6 feet 3 inches Weighed 728 #bs [pounds], measured 96 inches around the shoulders, 76 inches around the breast, 47 round the thigh, 35 round the calf of the leg.
